The latter is the biggest risk you may face from a legal perspective, so you should follow best practices similar to firearms and ammunition: store and transport bows and arrows safely, safely and separately. It is legal to do archery in your garden, but your responsibility for the safety of others is very high! If you visit the Archery UK website and read the shooting rules, you will see the safety precautions required for a tournament in terms of overtaking and accessing the area used. Not surprisingly, it is illegal to manufacture, sell or rent items, offer them for sale or rent them, suspend or possess for sale or rental, or lend or give to another person, but bows are not on this list. If it`s not on the list, it`s legal. The training requirement was usually combined with prohibitions on other types of games and sports, so people focused on archery instead of, for example, “tennis, football, [what], dice” and other “inappropriate games.” It wasn`t so much about condemning the games, but about making sure they didn`t interfere with longbow training.

An annual 3-day field shooting tournament is held every Queen`s birthday weekend at various locations in New Zealand. Bowhunters must be allowed to hunt on private land, and they are not allowed to hunt in DOC countries, national parks or other reserves without a permit. All native species are protected; Only introduced species are legal quarries. There are no special seasons for bowhunters or for hunting with a gun. All men over the age of 14 are required by law to practice the longbow for at least two hours per week.
