Authors reserve the right to provide an original version of the author (preprint) through various channels, which does not preclude submission to the journal. For more information, see our Online Licensing, Copyright and Permissions Policy. If accepted, authors must update the status of all preprints, including the DOI of your published work, as described on our Author Self-Archiving Policy page. The journal is an open access journal that gives all users free and unlimited access to all its content without publication restrictions. The EJLS is an open access journal, which means that we make all articles on our website freely accessible and do not charge publication fees. We also require authors to make their research reproducible, including, where possible, by providing basic datasets to readers.

All requests for writing or submissions may be directed to the Editor-in-Chief, Professor Liz Fisher (ojls.editor@law.ox.ac.uk). We ask authors to identify their sources of funding during the submission process or to indicate if there are none. For more information on this process or to learn more about CHORUS, visit the CHORUS initiative. Enter the references in the correct order and style of the log. Papers must be submitted electronically through the online filing website. Please note that the journal only accepts submissions through the website and does not consider articles received in any other way. The Journal of Legal Studies in Business does not accept manuscripts published or those published elsewhere. Manuscripts may be sent simultaneously to other journals, provided that the author undertakes to inform the publisher concerned immediately if the work is to be published elsewhere. All manuscripts must be sent in Microsoft Word format, electronically only, to ExpressO, or by email directly to Editor-in-Chief Donna Pelham in dpelham@methodist.edu. To ensure that your submission does not end up in our spam folder, we encourage authors to send their submissions from verified email addresses. For most authors, this means sending their contributions from their institutional address. For authors without institutional affiliation, this means that their personal email address has been validated by an online service.

Each submission must contain a separate, removable cover page containing: the title of the manuscript; name(s) of author(s), institutional affiliation(s), address(es), e-mail address(es) and telephone number(s); and a brief summary of the article of 200 words or less. Information that identifies the authors or their institutions should be omitted from all subsequent pages. If your first language is not English, you may want to use the services of a commercial language editor to ensure that the academic content of your work is fully understood by journal editors and reviewers. Language publishers do not guarantee that your manuscript will be accepted for publication. Learn more about this service. Several language publishing companies offer similar services, and you can use them too.
