Legal Services Alabama (LSA) is one of the largest law firms in the state of Alabama. LSA invites applications from qualified lawyers who are committed to supporting our mission. This is a full-time position in our Tuscaloosa regional office. The attorney will handle public relations and civil advocacy to prevent homelessness and other priorities set by the Tuscaloosa County Board of Directors, Alabama. CCLA`s Family Court Self Advocacy Center (FCSAC) is located in the Central Broward County Courthouse in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Under the supervision of lawyers in the Family Law Unit, the CFSAC Paralegal will provide legal information and advice to a large number of self-represented litigants regarding forms on issues such as, but not limited to, dissolution of marriage (divorce), paternity, timeshare change and child support. family court applications and limited information on issues raised by the Ministry of Finance. The paralegal will work in person and will be at the central courthouse every day.

The successful candidate must be an energetic, well-organized and patient individual who is involved in assisting self-represented litigants in achieving a fair and effective resolution of their family law case. The successful candidate must possess effective communication and technology skills on platforms such as Microsoft Office, Teams, and Zoom. Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred). This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida (CCLA) is seeking a hard-working and compassionate lawyer to represent clients in non-profit matters. In carrying out his or her legal activities, the lawyer is responsible for all stages of the handling of the case, including the questioning of clients and witnesses, legal research, and the representation of clients at administrative hearings and appeals. The lawyer works under the supervision of the prosecutor in charge of direction and supervision. In addition to legal work, counsel should be involved in program public relations and other program support activities. This is a full-time exempt position. The successful candidate must be able to work remotely (temporarily), have excellent flexible communication skills, be able to work in a team and have technological skills in platforms such as Microsoft Office and Teams, Zoom and PDF. Membership in the Florida Bar or willingness to serve on the Florida Bar is required. A demonstrated interest in public interest law, poverty law, and/or working with low-income clients is beneficial. The lawyer must meet all program requirements, including but not limited to: effective case and note management, filling out information for grant reports, daily time tracking, training and public relations, and attending all prescribed trainings. The attorney assists in civil matters related to legal rights, benefits and claims by providing legal advice, advice and representation to seniors in Autauga, Elmore and Montgomery counties.
