I will look at two of them. One is listed as 09, but the owner claims it`s NOT road legal (I didn`t think they made a dirt pattern only after 08), the other is a 03, and the owner claims it`s street legal, but is there any way to distinguish it from the VIN number? My condition is pretty crappy on dirt > street conversions, so I`d like to get one that`s legal in 50 factory that you need to figure out what it takes to get street approval in your area. If the bike is in stock, plastic paints can also help. A 2009 S is expected to be white with mostly silver graphics. The original subframe is long with a helmet lock on the left side. That said, it`s not uncommon for people to put electric subframes on S/SM bikes to save weight. Do I really lose that much if I opt for the 400S? I mean, I plan to put a Yoshimura exhaust right away and find a way to get rid of that black ugly on the rear mudguard when I have it, but what should I do?
